China has been changing its economic role in the world as a low-cost production base and is currently recognized as a high-tech production base or an attractive market. In addition, Chinese investment into Japan has been increasing in recent years. In such changing situation, demand for legal services is growing in diversity. In response to such demand, we have established the China practice team led by Japanese attorneys fluent in both Chinese and English and Chinese attorneys with a good command of Japanese and English. Furthermore, the China practice team endeavors to provide first-class legal services related to China Hong Kong and Taiwan to our clients with the support of other attorneys with a variety of expertise in the firm and in collaboration with Chinese local law firms in order to deal with each client's individual case, whether inbound or outbound. The services currently provided by the China practice team to clients both inside and outside of Japan  are in a broad range of areas such as M&A (conducting legal due diligence investigations, drafting agreements, etc.), negotiations for agreement between companies, dispute resolution, and fraud investigations. We are committed to providing the highest-quality services in such broad areas to our clients.
